Ferdinand Set to Return From Knee Injury

Yes, it is confirmed that the great defender of Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, is set to return from the knee injury after coming forth uninjured previous Wednesday. United reserve team boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was actually the one who confirmed that Ferdinand is officially ready to have his first-team return.

A lot of Ferdinand fans might be so happy now for the defender’s first-team return. And same as those many bettors who went for the odds for his return anytime soon, they might be so happy too.

The injury did not allow Ferdinand to help his country in the big football event and it even did not allow him to be in the first three Premier League games of United which took place recently. Solskjaer said: “Rio is always the same player. It is awhile since he has played but he was still calm. He has get through an important 45 minutes, straight after two very hard training sessions…so we are delighted with him.”

Solskjaer also confirmed that Ferdinand has been already so eager to return from knee injury. There was no problem with Ferdinand’s desire to come back.

Solskjaer said in addition: “There was no problem whatsoever. It was always planned that he would play 45 minutes. I am not sure he needs any more games. Rio is a naturally fit lad.”

We just hope that Ferdinand will really make it to the event at Goodison Park. May he be totally fit to be at the event, and of course to make a lot of fans happy with his much-awaited first-team return.

As a matter of fact, after the footballer failed to be a part of the World Cup in South Africa, the footballer took the chance to participate in the world poker tournament instead. Yes, for a period of time, the Premier League title has been something that a lot of teams have been actually wanting for. But for us, two teams have been very serious about having the said title, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The two teams, Chelsea and Manchester United, we have been following them. And many times, we have felt their strong desire to have the Premier League title.

Chelsea for an instance in game against Liverpool carried that strong desire to win the said title and actually ended up winning against Liverpool 2-0. Premier League fans anticipated a bigger fight initiated by Liverpool but then just did not happen.

And Manchester United also carried such strong desire in game against Sunderland and won 1-0. Though some fans were disappointed because of the scoreline which should have been better as the opponent was actually 11th in the League standings, still the victorious team had that amazing desire to win the Premier League title.

Thus, we should not be like surprised if Chelsea and Manchester United should battle for the Premier League title. Weeks ago, Arsenal seemed very capable of winning the English Premier League title. But now, after some defeats, the London-based team is no longer very capable of winning the said title. The team is actually now behind in the league.

Well, Arsenal fans, though hurting, just try to accept their bet will not anymore be able to make it to the final. They are actually trying to accept the reality. There are only a handful of games to go and they acknowledge this. The Gunners will not anymore be able to win the much-coveted title. And only Chelsea and Manchester United can now try to win it.

But it will be a close fight, both teams have been just so eager to win the English Premier League title. It has been actually something they both have been very much into. Thus, it will definitely be a close fight.

Of course, we can’t say to Arsenal fans that they must still be excited about what team will dominate this year’s final and will win the title. It is understandable if now they are not and they will not be anymore.

But the Gunners also tried so hard to make it to this year’s final and win the English Premier League title this 2010. The team has also been so determined to reach the final of this year and enjoy the title. But then, may be just better luck next time for such one wonderful team.

Arsenal fans are most likely hurting but the right thing really for them to do is to just try to accept Arsenal’s fate in this year’s contention for the English Premier League title. The title is not for the team to win this year.

A new English Premier League season will be opened and Arsenal can just once again battle for the title. And the fans can just seriously pray for their team to finally make it in this new season of English Premier League.

Birmingham City Beaten by Manchester City 5-1

Everyone got to enjoy six great English Premier League games the previous weekend. The games were all entertaining then, but everyone most probably got to really enjoy the game between Manchester City and Birmingham City.

Well it has been pretty obvious for weeks that the English Premier League title will go to one of the three teams strongly vying for it – Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. Thus, it was so thrilling then for everyone to get to see great game between two teams not belonging to the said three teams.

Manchester City and Birmingham City actually during their game performed well. The Citizens showed what really it has to take to be fourth place in the English Premier League standings while the Blues showed though struggling in the standings can still make it.

However, the struggling team was eventually beaten by the top ranked team. The result of the game: Manchester City 5-1 Birmingham City.

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish seemed shocked or may be confused after the game. He conceded that, “It was a strange game. When they click, top teams can do that to you. But we have the capacity to bounce back and make this just a blip. We have to win the next game against Hull City.”

McLeish most likely did not even get to think about his team being beaten by team of Roberto Mancini. But then, he has been known for being strong. The defeat which for him was then unexpected will just be something that soon he’ll get over with. He’d move on for sure.

While Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was able to express his happiness with regards to the result of the game. But he admitted that his side might not be able to get even three or four goals in game against Manchester United however he expressed his optimism about winning 1-0.

Fans of the English team Manchester United were all saddened the previous weekend upon hearing the result of the game between their favorite team and Chelsea. The result of course was not good for them – Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea.

Carlo Ancelotti team Chelsea was able to reclaim the English Premier League top spot from Manchester United. And this actually made the fans of the Red Devils feel even sorrier.

At the Old Trafford, the fans were unable to see veterans like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes shine, though the latter was able to get a yellow card for the team. They also failed to see Gary Neville step up and make his contribution.

Manchester United failed to fire on all cylinders, and use excellent teamwork to wrong-foot the opponent just like what this team did in the game against Bolton Wanderers recently and even in certain games in the past.

It was really questionable for the fans then, the Red Devils should have played well considering that it has all the reasons to. But this side failed to and it was seriously disturbing.

While Chelsea was indeed so eager to win then, from start to finish this team has showed so much eagerness. Chelsea’s Paul Scholes and Didier Drogba determination to win even made Chelsea 2-0 ten minutes into the second half.
