Martin Jol still considered the FA Cup great competition. The competition would still offer wonderful opportunity also for Fulham. The manager seemed thankful. The competition would be there and would only provide also for the football club. However, the football club would also need to perform well also for the said opportunity. Jol would also help the football club deliver. There would be an important game and he would also provide the right preparations for the said game. The football club would need to win in the game.

Jol said also as confirmed by the reports: “It was a difficult draw, but if you want to do something in the competition you have to go to play difficult games at difficult places. And being out of the Europa League and Carling Cup, it would be fantastic to progress to the next round. I feel that even for the big clubs that play in all the tournaments, the FA Cup is a beautiful competition to win, so regardless of your league position, the FA Cup is a great opportunity to do something.”

Jol also tried to help Fulham perform well in the FA Cup. The manager wanted to also see the football club deliver in the competition that he just considered great competition. He would also continue to help the football club. He would also give right guidance. He would really try also for the fans. The football club would perform well in the competition. The fans would also be happy because of the accomplishment.

Jol, in addition, said: “Although Everton are missing quite a few players, they have achieved some decent results in different ways. They’ve changed their system as well. Of course, if you play at Everton it’s always a difficult game because they play to win. They have a system with offensive midfield players, and they play with a lot of crosses – very English ingredients – but we are well prepared.”

It was revealed by some reports that Phil Neville admitted that almost if not all of his fellow footballers only playing for Everton have been disappointed with own recent football campaign. And even the football club captain must have been also depressed with such mediocre football effort. But he also admitted that he himself will just try to be positive also for the welfare of everyone. And he has been also thinking that something special is about to happen that for sure will only be for everyone to be happy about.

Neville said: “I think if you ask a lot of Evertonians, I think they’d be quite disappointed with the season. I think the manager would be and I think the players would be. There’s been a lot of negativity surrounding the club, but we should snap out of that. We finished seventh in the table, we finished eighth the season before that so in terms of league position we’ve improved. I think we’re so close to something very special here, the positives we can take out of this season are the foundations are as strong as ever, the spirit and the togetherness of the manager, the players, the staff, the supporters, the whole club is still there.”

Also for Neville, his fellow footballers only playing for Everton should also try to be positive despite of being disappointed with own recent football campaign. According to him, it will also be not easy to but they all have to. For him, it will also be good to be optimistic. It will also be nice to think that something special will happen and will be for them to be glad about.

Neville, in addition, said: “Yes, we’ve had disappointments this year, probably more disappointments than the good bits but we can still look back on this year and be proud that we’ve recovered well from a bad start.”

Here are your latest football transfer rumours categorized by club.

Real Madrid

It looks as though Real Madrid is taking their summer attention to Carlos Tevez, who is apparently their number one target for the summer transfer window. Tevex is likely going to cost about £35 million.

After signing Nuri Sahin 9 May, the club is now setting their eyes on 28-year-old Hamit Altintop of Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich

It appears as though the offer has increased to €21 million for Manuel Neuer after the initial offer of €18 million was turned down for being unacceptable. Munich wants to acquire the very talented goalkeeper but Schalke also wants to keep him.

Schalke

28-year-old Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax has caught the attention of Schalke. The German squad is in need of a new goalkeeper since Manuel Neuer has gone elsewhere. However, the possibility of Stekelenburg ended up in Schalke is unlikely seeing as how AC Milan and Manchester United are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Werder Bremen

After showing interest last week, Werder Bremen is on the threshold of finalizing a deal with Bayern Munich for Mehmet Ekici, a 21-year-old playmaker who is only costing Bremen €5 million and is currently with Bayern on loan. Although Ekici has expressed interest in staying with Bayern, it appears that Bayern would rather cash in on him now rather than wait for next summer when he could leave as a free transfer.

Manchester City

It seems than Manchester City will join Everton and Aresenal in the chase for a £17 million defender from Ajax – Jan Vertonghen. Manchester City also has their sights set on two other players – Kevin De Bruyne from Genk and Axel Witsel from Standard Liège.

Other targets of Manchester City are Wesley Sneijder, Gary Cahill and Leighton Baines. Let’s not also forget Cesc Fábregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The latter belongs to Barcelona but the club is looking for a way out and the former has caught the eye of Barcelona in addition to City. Talk about a lot of money to be spent this summer…

Manchester United

United is expected to give a contract offer to Antonio Valencia in hopes of getting other clubs such as Real Madrid to look elsewhere for summer transfer prospects.

Also in the sights of United is Jeremy Menez who has been with Roma for three years but now apparently wants out of the club. United has competition, though, as Arsenal and Liverpool are both supposedly interested as well.

AC Milan’s Clarence Seedorf’s contract ends at the conclusion of this season and may find his way to Manchester United throughout the summer for not much of a price. He is ready to leave Milan after having been with the club for nine years.

United has tried for the previous two years to acquire Inter’s Wesley Sneijder. The 26-year-old playmaker will cost about £25 million but may actually take the offer this time around since Inter appears ready to deal.

United is said to be a pole-runner for acquiring the services of Lens’ 18-year-old Raphael Varane. Although there has been talks that Roma, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are also targeting the young defender, it is likely that he’ll end up with United – especially since the club has supposedly already spoken with his agent about a potential transfer.

Both United and City are supposedly clubs that are very much interested in Alexis Sanchez from Udinese. The 22-year-old winger has a price tag of about £26 million.

Inter

It appears as though Inter may have their sights set on 20-year-old Gaston Ramirez of Bologna, who would cost them less money than their previous primary target Alexis Sanchez, who would have cost them around €30 million to get him to transfer from Udinese. Ramirez would more than likely cost around the ballpark of €8 to €10 million since he is with Bologna under contract until 2015.

After initially wanting to sign Nuri Sahin, who ended up transferring to Real Madrid earlier this week, the Serie A club has now set their sights on 22-year-old Ever Banega from La Liga’s Valencia. If the offer is good enough, Valencia is likely to accept although the playmaker is under contract through 2013.

Chelsea

Chelsea is obviously better than Tottenham Hotspur and I’m sure they plan on using similar terms when they try to get both Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale to switch clubs. Numbers somewhere around £70 million for the two has been circulating in the air.

Roma

Roma has been intrigued by 17-year-old Romelu Lukaku of Anderlecht. They want some new, young talent to add to the squad but they are in a race with Chelsea, who are more likely to secure the young striker’s services. Anderlecht is asking €30 million for the talented teenager.

Aside from Lukaku, though, Roma is also keeping solid tabs on Leandro Damiao of Internacional as well as Abel Hernandez of Palermo.

In addition, Federico Balzaretti has sparked the interest of Roma due to his impressive performance this season with Palermo. John Arne Riise is said to be heading back to the Premier League so the Serie A club is seeking an adequate replacement and see that in the 29-year-old defender. However, Roma will have to flesh out some cash if they have any chances of securing his services since he is contract until 2013.

Liverpool

Both Liverpool and Aston Villa have set sights on a skipper from West Brom – Chris Brunt, whom I’m sure couldn’t be more flattered. Brunt will probably go for between £7 and £10 million.

Bolton Wanderers

Currently with FC Copenhagen, 21-year-old Mathias Jorgensen has caught the attention of Bolton. He’ll likely not cost much – around £5 million.

Everton

Everton seems to be looking for an international goalkeeper and have their eyes set on a 25-year-old named Keiren Westwood from the Republic of Ireland International.

Tottenham Hotspur

Goalkeepers are in the sights of Tottenham – Ben Foster or Maarten Stekelenburg.

Rangers

It looks as though the Rangers may take a chance to sign a teenager from Preston, Danny Devine.

It was said that the manager wants to have a great player as a replacement for Australian Tim Cahill. The Australian will be out for the next couple of months for the Asian Cup.

But according to the reports, Beckham although seems pleased by such a revelation by Moyes seems also not considering Everton move. It was said that it seems that he will always be a Manchester United fan.

Beckham said: “Right now I am just getting my body back into shape. I was out of the game for six months with a pretty serious injury and I came back really quickly and I think I am feeling the effects of the month and a half that I played since I got injured. But it is always nice to be wanted and it is always nice to have options out there. I have always respected David Moyes and the time I played with him at Preston North End and I respect him as a manager. I have spoken to Landon (Donovan) about him and he can’t speak highly enough of him as a manager and as a person so it is nice to be wanted but I am a Man United fan at the end of the day it is pretty close rivals there so I don’t know.”

Beckham said that for him it is always good to be wanted and to be wanted by manager like Moyes must be really nice for him. But then, he just decided not to make the manager wait for his decision for long and admitted early on that he is a Manchester United fan at the end of the day and so most likely can’t be with Everton.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson recently talked about his team winning against Blackburn and he seemed happy to talk about it. According to the manager, it is a proof that the club is making slow but steady progress.

However, Hodgson said that he doesn’t want to get really excited with the progress the club is making. He said he doesn’t want to be carried away although Liverpool is having significant improvement particularly in performance.

Hodgson said: “I’d be lying if I said it felt like a turning point. That would be a facile thing to say. I’ve got faith in the team and the way we played in several of the games. We were worse at the beginning but we have got better.”

Hodgson believed that his team is on the right track. He said he can say his team is most especially if he will also consider statistics from Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Everton.

Hodgson said: “I saw the statistics the other day from the Everton game and I’ve never in my Premier League career seen statistics as positive as they were in terms of passing, accuracy and tempo of passing, number of shots and crosses. Those statistics hearten you because you know you are not playing badly but they don’t get you any points. We had the same level of passing and intensity against Blackburn but we were much more incisive, getting behind them down the flanks more. It was the right sort of performance; we’ve got to give another 29 like that and if we can do that then we won’t go too far wrong.”

It must be true that Liverpool is making slow but steady progress. And, we just hope this will continue. Many fans will be happy if ever the club will continue making slow however steady progress.

Manager David Moyes was recently interviewed and based on his answers to questions thrown to him, he has been just so anxious about the form of Everton. It seemed that he has been thinking about not motivating good players so well.

Moyes said: “I have got a real job on and I need to get down to work and really start to manage. But I’ll take the responsibility, I’ll pick the team and I’ll be in the same place next week on the side of the pitch. So people will still be able to see me. Of course I am concerned. Any manager would be in this position.”

Moyes admitted that he needs to finally take responsibility as the manager of the club. He knew that in a way, he has failed a couple of times to really motivate some good players. Most of the Everton club players are international players but Moyes in a way has failed to make them play all together. And also everyone seemed to have failed to have the fighting spirit everyone has been known for.

Moyes also insisted that it might be really wrong to have right-back Tony Hibbert. For Moyes, Hibbert is a decent player but it seemed to the manager that the player can’t deliver a decent cross.

Moyes based on his answers to questions thrown to him has been just so anxious about the form of Everton. But good thing the manager admitted that after being in not so good form he needs to really start managing the club. He admitted that along the way something went wrong with his management and that he should work on it so for the club to be in good form and to be once again considered as a club that is not easy to beat.

Yes, it is confirmed that the great defender of Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, is set to return from the knee injury after coming forth uninjured previous Wednesday. United reserve team boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was actually the one who confirmed that Ferdinand is officially ready to have his first-team return.

A lot of Ferdinand fans might be so happy now for the defender’s first-team return. And same as those many bettors who went for the odds for his return anytime soon, they might be so happy too.

The injury did not allow Ferdinand to help his country in the big football event and it even did not allow him to be in the first three Premier League games of United which took place recently. Not to forget that it did not also allow him to be around at the start of England’s campaign for the Euro 2012 qualification.

But good thing, Solskjaer confirmed that Ferdinand will be ready to face Everton at Goodison Park on September 11.

Solskjaer said: “Rio is always the same player. It is awhile since he has played but he was still calm. He has get through an important 45 minutes, straight after two very hard training sessions…so we are delighted with him.”

Solskjaer also confirmed that Ferdinand has been already so eager to return from knee injury. There was no problem with Ferdinand’s desire to come back.

Solskjaer said in addition: “There was no problem whatsoever. It was always planned that he would play 45 minutes. I am not sure he needs any more games. Rio is a naturally fit lad.”

We just hope that Ferdinand will really make it to the event at Goodison Park. May he be totally fit to be at the event, and of course to make a lot of fans happy with his much-awaited first-team return.

Young defender Shane Duffy was recently reported to have actually made it to return in light training after a serious accident. Everton’s teenager almost died because of the accident during training. He actually ruptured an artery after a collision with Irish goalkeeper Adrian Walsh.

Doctors confirmed that nearly two thirds of blood supply of the 18-year-old had leaked into his abdomen. And they also conceded that if the Ireland medical team on the site was not quick enough to attend to the young Duffy, worst thing could have happened.

Of course, Duffy thanked the medics. He believed he had second chance at life because of the medics.

Duffy said: “I can’t thank the medics enough. It’s made me realize how important it is now to get a second chance at it. I can’t describe it, that I’m still here. I nearly died. So I just have to live life now, and don’t take anything for granted.”

Duffy tried to remember what happened, thus he can’t just thank the medics enough for the help extended.

Duffy explained: “When it happened, I tried to get up straight away and the pain was just so sore, and then the doctor came on and I just said I couldn’t breathe and then he took me off. When I was in the ambulance I was getting sharp pains in my chest so that just made it worse and I couldn’t drink anything. I just blanked out from there, then I woke up and it was all done.”

The medics attended to his needs properly and so he survived. He was able to be wake up and then be just back in light training because of the medics. The medics just helped him to make it.

It was also confirmed that Duffy could only return to the pitch after six months.

The English Premier League standings have been just proportional to the teams’ form during the season. Therefore, it was not surprising to see certain high ranking teams dominating low ranking teams in certain English Premier League games a fortnight ago.

We can just consider what happened in the game between Arsenal that has been lying joint second with Chelsea with 61 points and Burnley which has been nineteenth placer with 23 points and up for possible relegation. Just as expected, the Gunners dispatched the Clarets 3-1.

The fans of both teams were not most likely surprised by the result of the game as they might have considered their bet’s standing in the league and that it could just tell how their bet would play in the game. However, with what Theo Walcott has showed, they were most likely surprised then. The 20-year-old winger of the Gunners showed really good performance to become the star of the game and to prove Chris Waddle wrong to call him as “lacking a football brain” prior the game.

The young Gunners’ winger no doubt has showed a really good performance. Something that’s worth mentioning is that he has actually set up a lot of goal opportunities for his teammates before making a goal himself.

Walcott did well in their game against Burnley but Arsenal in general, has been in good form and so just so capable of winning against the Clarets.

While Everton that has been lying eight in the English Premier League has been also in good form and so just so capable then of winning against Hull City particularly 5-1. Everton has been lying eighth with 41 points and Hull City eighteenth and also up for possible relegation. The standing of the teams in the English Premier League could have given the fans idea of the possible outcome of the game between the two and this nothing else being Everton just being so capable of dispatching Hull City.

At this point, Liverpool already got the recognition as current favorites to win the Europa League. Bookmakers opted to have the Anfield side as favorites so far.

William Hill is actually offering odds at 6/1 on Liverpool being the bagger of the trophy of the ever popular league. For the bookmaker, it is most likely a big thing that Rafa Benitez’s side will be entering the league after not making it at the knockout stages of the Champions League which has also been popular. Since 2002, it was their first time not to make it.

But Benitez is also 6/4 to separate from Anfield before the end of the campaign. While the Merseysiders are at 1/5 to win no silverware this season.

Despite beating Debrecen 1-0 on Tuesday night in Budapest, Liverpool decided to withdraw from the Champions League. Most likely, the decision was all because of Fiorentian defeating Lyon in the other Group E fixture to book their place for the last 16.

Shaktar Donetsk, on the other hand, also got acknowledgment for being second favorites to win the Europa League at a general 10/1. Good achievement so far after winning the league in its past format last year. And Roma can be back at 12/1, while Valencia at 14/1.

With 888sport, odds are at 20/1 for Everton to actually win the tournament that is known before as the UEFA Cup. They are presently second in their group though they were beaten twice by Benfica.

For sure, a lot of sports betting enthusiasts are now excited about what side can really dominate the Europa League. It is still for them to guess if what side will truly prevail. More or less, they can’t wait for long just to finally find out what side.
