Koscielny Improving While With Arsenal

It must be only right for Laurent Koscielny to decide to be with Arsenal when the footballer also thought of his improvements while still with the football club. He wished to be with the football club and just started to work hard to also be better and not regret it. He must be happy with what he also tried to do.

Koscielny said: “I feel I’m in the best form of my life. I’ve improved a lot. I keep working on the basics, my control and my passes. I’m also more rigorous. I make less fouls and get less booked as I needed time to adapt to England. I also cope better with the pressure of playing in a very big club. And I know I can improve even more.”

Koscielny also struggled on the first day of being with Arsenal. He was also part of the game against Chelsea and showed he really had the improvements while with the football club. Chelsea Having Fantastic Opportunities in Game Against Genk

Andre Villas-Boas must be also happy with how Chelsea did in the game against Genk that happened only recently. For the manager, the football club did very well although still ended up with 1-1 draw, a result that must be also not good enough. But the football club had fantastic opportunities and used them properly. He must be glad with the performance of Chelsea.

Villas-Boas said: “The first half was very good. We managed to get the goal we wanted. I think we had fantastic opportunities after (the Genk equaliser) to win the game, to turn the score to 2-1, but it just didn’t happen. (In the) second half we went down a level. It was revealed by the reports that Andre Villas-Boas was pleased with the Champions League win he and Chelsea delivered. And it was also one with Fernando Torres who was also coming back to being fit. Villas-Boas also confirmed he also talked to the footballer about the controversy in midweek.

Reports confirmed recently that Oriol Romeu signed the contract that will make him play for Chelsea for years. But it was said that he may still consider also playing for Barcelona again if will be given the chance to. He admitted that he will always support and of course love the football club. And therefore, he may also consider playing for the football club once more.

Romeu said: “You never know what could happen in the future, I will always support Barca and I hope someday I can return there. But right now, what I want is to succeed at Chelsea and be fine there. I always said that my first option was Barcelona, but … an opportunity like this comes, and a coach wants to bet on you, so you have to take it. I think I could not let this one go.”

Also according to the reports, Romeu signed the contract that will make him stay play for Chelsea for years but maybe was also thinking of not also going for it. It was also said that maybe, he still wanted to still be with Barcelona. But he just also found it right to also try at Stamford Bridge. He can’t also miss the opportunity to. Modric Leaving for Chelsea

Some reports have confirmed that Luka Modric admitted that he can leave Tottenham Hotspur for Chelsea. It was said that the footballer has been preparing for the exit and even for the move to another football club. He has been actually on the headlines with him wishing to leave but also hoping to stay in London.

Modric said: “If somebody comes to the club and the offer is good for me and acceptable to them, then I want to leave. I want to leave Tottenham as friends. I have enjoyed my time there, but now it is right for me to look at another club. I have an arrangement with the chairman. When I signed my new contract, he said that, if another club came to sign me, they would consider the offer. But I won’t ask for a transfer. That would be disrespectful.”

Some supporters of Modric were saddened with their favorite’s admission. According to the reports, they wanted him to stay and not actually make an exit and then move to another football club. But then, they have been there for him and for his choices and the likes, may they appear good or bad. Thus, they must have also learned to just be happy with it. Hughes Left Craven Cottage

Some reports have confirmed recently that Mark Hughes left Craven Cottage but his agent actually made it clear that he departed not for Chelsea or Aston Villa. Some of his supporters were unhappy with his decision most especially if he opted to go for it for another football club but of course, his agent indeed clarified that he left not for any other football club which has been actually without manager.

Kia Joorabchian said: “As a manager he has ambitions to really compete at the top level and be the best he can. (Fulham) are where they are. They are a great top-10, mid-table club and I think Mark really wants to be right up there competing in the Champions League positions, up there competing for titles. He’d like to win some cups. (The timing) was an unfortunate circumstance. The timing of the situation was such there were a couple of vacancies available.”

Hughes ended up resigning as manager after being at the Craven Cottage for some time but yes must be true that he did so not for Chelsea, Aston Villa, or any other football club. Well, everyone can still wait and see if what exactly his reason for going for such decision was.

Joorabchian said: “It had nothing to do with it whatsoever. You all realise Mark Hughes is a sincere man. He wouldn’t do that. He sat down and thought about it and thought if he signs a two-year contract now and they go and buy players in the transfer market, but all the time looking over his shoulder thinking, ‘well if a bigger job comes along’, a top-four club or maybe a place in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Italy that allows him to compete then he’d be sort of keen to move and that would be unfair to Fulham.”

Ancelotti Might Depart

Supporters of Carlo Ancelotti have been very troubled with all the reports saying that he might just leave and indeed because of poor performance as manager. However, he has also revealed that Chelsea big bosses are still to decide whether or not they will let him stay. And naturally, he wanted that they will end up allowing him to remain.

Ancelotti said: “You have to propose this question to the club, not myself. I cannot give an answer. I said I want to wait. I don’t know what will happen. We have to wait just one week. A week is not a long period and see what happens.”

So many reports have said that Ancelotti might depart for he has not been that good as manager. And yes, his supporters were also unhappy to know what these reports had to say and became just very worried after. But the manager also wanted to help them feel better for they have been also very good, extending great support not only to him but also to the football club and even its players. He tried to just tell them that the big bosses of Chelsea have not yet decided whether or not they will let him stay. Of course, they will still need to really determine if how he has actually been as manager of the football club.

Ancelotti said: “If my job was good, I will stay. If they think it was not good, I will have to go. In my opinion, sometimes I did a good job. Sometimes I could do better. For all this season, even when the moment was not so good, they stayed close to the team and to the players. My emotion? I don’t know what happens and I want to wait. After that I can explain.”

Real Madrid

It looks as though Real Madrid is taking their summer attention to Carlos Tevez, who is apparently their number one target for the summer transfer window. Tevex is likely going to cost about £35 million.

After signing Nuri Sahin 9 May, the club is now setting their eyes on 28-year-old Hamit Altintop of Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich

It appears as though the offer has increased to €21 million for Manuel Neuer after the initial offer of €18 million was turned down for being unacceptable. Munich wants to acquire the very talented goalkeeper but Schalke also wants to keep him.

Schalke

28-year-old Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax has caught the attention of Schalke. The German squad is in need of a new goalkeeper since Manuel Neuer has gone elsewhere. However, the possibility of Stekelenburg ended up in Schalke is unlikely seeing as how AC Milan and Manchester United are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Werder Bremen

After showing interest last week, Werder Bremen is on the threshold of finalizing a deal with Bayern Munich for Mehmet Ekici, a 21-year-old playmaker who is only costing Bremen €5 million and is currently with Bayern on loan. Although Ekici has expressed interest in staying with Bayern, it appears that Bayern would rather cash in on him now rather than wait for next summer when he could leave as a free transfer.

Manchester City

It seems than Manchester City will join Everton and Aresenal in the chase for a £17 million defender from Ajax – Jan Vertonghen. Manchester City also has their sights set on two other players – Kevin De Bruyne from Genk and Axel Witsel from Standard Liège.

Other targets of Manchester City are Wesley Sneijder, Gary Cahill and Leighton Baines. Let’s not also forget Cesc Fábregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The latter belongs to Barcelona but the club is looking for a way out and the former has caught the eye of Barcelona in addition to City. Talk about a lot of money to be spent this summer…

Manchester United

United is expected to give a contract offer to Antonio Valencia in hopes of getting other clubs such as Real Madrid to look elsewhere for summer transfer prospects.

Also in the sights of United is Jeremy Menez who has been with Roma for three years but now apparently wants out of the club. United has competition, though, as Arsenal and Liverpool are both supposedly interested as well.

AC Milan’s Clarence Seedorf’s contract ends at the conclusion of this season and may find his way to Manchester United throughout the summer for not much of a price. He is ready to leave Milan after having been with the club for nine years.

United has tried for the previous two years to acquire Inter’s Wesley Sneijder. The 26-year-old playmaker will cost about £25 million but may actually take the offer this time around since Inter appears ready to deal.

United is said to be a pole-runner for acquiring the services of Lens’ 18-year-old Raphael Varane. Although there has been talks that Roma, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are also targeting the young defender, it is likely that he’ll end up with United – especially since the club has supposedly already spoken with his agent about a potential transfer.

Both United and City are supposedly clubs that are very much interested in Alexis Sanchez from Udinese. The 22-year-old winger has a price tag of about £26 million.

Inter

It appears as though Inter may have their sights set on 20-year-old Gaston Ramirez of Bologna, who would cost them less money than their previous primary target Alexis Sanchez, who would have cost them around €30 million to get him to transfer from Udinese. Ramirez would more than likely cost around the ballpark of €8 to €10 million since he is with Bologna under contract until 2015.

After initially wanting to sign Nuri Sahin, who ended up transferring to Real Madrid earlier this week, the Serie A club has now set their sights on 22-year-old Ever Banega from La Liga’s Valencia. If the offer is good enough, Valencia is likely to accept although the playmaker is under contract through 2013.

Chelsea

Chelsea is obviously better than Tottenham Hotspur and I’m sure they plan on using similar terms when they try to get both Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale to switch clubs. Numbers somewhere around £70 million for the two has been circulating in the air.

Roma

Roma has been intrigued by 17-year-old Romelu Lukaku of Anderlecht. They want some new, young talent to add to the squad but they are in a race with Chelsea, who are more likely to secure the young striker’s services. Anderlecht is asking €30 million for the talented teenager.

Aside from Lukaku, though, Roma is also keeping solid tabs on Leandro Damiao of Internacional as well as Abel Hernandez of Palermo.

In addition, Federico Balzaretti has sparked the interest of Roma due to his impressive performance this season with Palermo. John Arne Riise is said to be heading back to the Premier League so the Serie A club is seeking an adequate replacement and see that in the 29-year-old defender. However, Roma will have to flesh out some cash if they have any chances of securing his services since he is contract until 2013.

Liverpool

Both Liverpool and Aston Villa have set sights on a skipper from West Brom – Chris Brunt, whom I’m sure couldn’t be more flattered. Brunt will probably go for between £7 and £10 million.

Bolton Wanderers

Currently with FC Copenhagen, 21-year-old Mathias Jorgensen has caught the attention of Bolton. He’ll likely not cost much – around £5 million.

Everton

Everton seems to be looking for an international goalkeeper and have their eyes set on a 25-year-old named Keiren Westwood from the Republic of Ireland International.

Tottenham Hotspur

Goalkeepers are in the sights of Tottenham – Ben Foster or Maarten Stekelenburg.

Rangers

It looks as though the Rangers may take a chance to sign a teenager from Preston, Danny Devine.

Terry Reinstated England Captain

Some reports have just confirmed that John Terry was reinstated as captain of none other than, the England national football team. It was said that Rio Ferdinand took over February of 2010 but after a year, he still appears to be deserving of the much coveted captainship. He just lost it last year because of the issue involving him and former partner of Wayne Bridge.

Boss Fabio Capello said: “After one year of punishment, Terry will again be the permanent captain. I think one year’s punishment is enough. John, when he played without the armband, was every time a leader on the pitch, a leader in the dressing room. He was really good every time. Always he is the same. He is a player that is himself a leader. This is really important. He is the biggest personality in the dressing room.”

Capello was said to be also thankful to Ferdinand for also accepting the challenge to be captain of the England national football team. But for the boss, he must already return to being vice-captain. Of course for the boss, it would also be for the welfare of the national football team. Well, some supporters might also be unhappy with Terry playing again as England national football team captain but it will also be for what will be good. They should just learn to accept his reinstatement.

Capello said: “Sometimes the leader can make mistakes – not only him but I, you, all the people. It is not a risk making Terry captain again. He understood the mistake and he learnt from his mistakes. He will be a very important captain for us because when I choose him, I know he is a leader. I also think the players will be happy. I think so. They respect John Terry as a leader, absolutely.”

Borini Close to Moving to Parma

Yes, it was said that Chelsea forward Fabio Borini is already close to moving to Parma, the Serie A football club. It was the footballer’s agent who revealed that he is actually close to transferring to the said club, the club he finds perfect for him at the stage of his career.

Marco Antonio De Marchi said: “The transfer isn’t official just yet, but I can confirm that we’re in advanced talks with the Gialloblu. There has also been interest from Roma and Lazio in the past couple of months, but Parma were the most concrete. Despite Carlo Ancelotti’s insistence to sign a new deal with Chelsea, we were unable to reach an agreement about a contract extension. Fabio then decided to consider his options and started looking for a new club. Fabio needs to play at a club where he feels at home and where he gets the chance to flourish. A club with a plan for the future and Parma appears to be the perfect club for him at the moment.”

Well, for sure, there were some supporters who were unhappy with the confirmation of the footballer’s agent. They wanted Borini to just stay as Chelsea forward. But then of course, he can just decide to move away from Chelsea and move to Parma. He can go for anything that he wants to. And supporters were aware of this fact. Thus, they might have also just tried to accept it that he already decided to depart from Chelsea, and yes, transfer to Parma.

Right now, supporters can just be there for Borini for whatever it is that he will be doing soon. They can just be around for him and for his future move. They can’t stop him from doing what he really wants to do as far as his football career is concerned.
