Coyle Satisfied With Big Performance

The manager clarified it was only about performing well in the season. His footballers were with the right goal. It also really helped that they were, the big performance was delivered. Supporters were happy. They will also just continue with the same kind of goal. It will continue to really help. However, supporters must also hope that they will really continue delivering in the season. They can still fail.

Coyle, in addition, said: “I think that what happened before (in the semi-final) … all credit to Stoke, they’re reaping the benefits in Europe, but our focus and energy today was to address what is happening in this Premier League (season) and not before, it was just about winning.”

It looks as though Real Madrid is taking their summer attention to Carlos Tevez, who is apparently their number one target for the summer transfer window. Tevex is likely going to cost about £35 million.

Bayern Munich

It appears as though the offer has increased to €21 million for Manuel Neuer after the initial offer of €18 million was turned down for being unacceptable. Munich wants to acquire the very talented goalkeeper but Schalke also wants to keep him.

Schalke

28-year-old Maarten Stekelenburg of Ajax has caught the attention of Schalke. The German squad is in need of a new goalkeeper since Manuel Neuer has gone elsewhere. However, the possibility of Stekelenburg ended up in Schalke is unlikely seeing as how AC Milan and Manchester United are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Werder Bremen

After showing interest last week, Werder Bremen is on the threshold of finalizing a deal with Bayern Munich for Mehmet Ekici, a 21-year-old playmaker who is only costing Bremen €5 million and is currently with Bayern on loan. Although Ekici has expressed interest in staying with Bayern, it appears that Bayern would rather cash in on him now rather than wait for next summer when he could leave as a free transfer.

Manchester City

It seems than Manchester City will join Everton and Aresenal in the chase for a £17 million defender from Ajax – Jan Vertonghen. Manchester City also has their sights set on two other players – Kevin De Bruyne from Genk and Axel Witsel from Standard Liège.

Other targets of Manchester City are Wesley Sneijder, Gary Cahill and Leighton Baines. Let’s not also forget Cesc Fábregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The latter belongs to Barcelona but the club is looking for a way out and the former has caught the eye of Barcelona in addition to City. Talk about a lot of money to be spent this summer…

Manchester United

United is expected to give a contract offer to Antonio Valencia in hopes of getting other clubs such as Real Madrid to look elsewhere for summer transfer prospects.

Also in the sights of United is Jeremy Menez who has been with Roma for three years but now apparently wants out of the club. United has competition, though, as Arsenal and Liverpool are both supposedly interested as well.

AC Milan’s Clarence Seedorf’s contract ends at the conclusion of this season and may find his way to Manchester United throughout the summer for not much of a price. He is ready to leave Milan after having been with the club for nine years.

United has tried for the previous two years to acquire Inter’s Wesley Sneijder. The 26-year-old playmaker will cost about £25 million but may actually take the offer this time around since Inter appears ready to deal.

United is said to be a pole-runner for acquiring the services of Lens’ 18-year-old Raphael Varane. Although there has been talks that Roma, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are also targeting the young defender, it is likely that he’ll end up with United – especially since the club has supposedly already spoken with his agent about a potential transfer.

Both United and City are supposedly clubs that are very much interested in Alexis Sanchez from Udinese. The 22-year-old winger has a price tag of about £26 million.

Inter

It appears as though Inter may have their sights set on 20-year-old Gaston Ramirez of Bologna, who would cost them less money than their previous primary target Alexis Sanchez, who would have cost them around €30 million to get him to transfer from Udinese. Ramirez would more than likely cost around the ballpark of €8 to €10 million since he is with Bologna under contract until 2015.

After initially wanting to sign Nuri Sahin, who ended up transferring to Real Madrid earlier this week, the Serie A club has now set their sights on 22-year-old Ever Banega from La Liga’s Valencia. If the offer is good enough, Valencia is likely to accept although the playmaker is under contract through 2013.

Chelsea

Chelsea is obviously better than Tottenham Hotspur and I’m sure they plan on using similar terms when they try to get both Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale to switch clubs. Numbers somewhere around £70 million for the two has been circulating in the air.

Roma

Roma has been intrigued by 17-year-old Romelu Lukaku of Anderlecht. They want some new, young talent to add to the squad but they are in a race with Chelsea, who are more likely to secure the young striker’s services. Anderlecht is asking €30 million for the talented teenager.

Aside from Lukaku, though, Roma is also keeping solid tabs on Leandro Damiao of Internacional as well as Abel Hernandez of Palermo.

In addition, Federico Balzaretti has sparked the interest of Roma due to his impressive performance this season with Palermo. John Arne Riise is said to be heading back to the Premier League so the Serie A club is seeking an adequate replacement and see that in the 29-year-old defender. However, Roma will have to flesh out some cash if they have any chances of securing his services since he is contract until 2013.

Liverpool

Coyle Unhappy With Bolton Wanderers Poor Performance

It was revealed by several reports that Owen Coyle was also unhappy with the poor performance of Bolton Wanderers and not only the supporters of the football club. The boss himself can’t also be glad with such kind of performance that was delivered.

Coyle said: “There is no getting away from it – it was a below-par performance. When you come to this stage and this arena and you are out performed by going toe to toe and you are beaten by the better team then no problem. But for Bolton Wanderers, we under performed today. I thought we were the architects of our own downfall at times, but I don’t want to take anything away from Stoke.”

Yes, the boss was sad with such a poor performance of Bolton Wanderers and it was said that he was also aware that supporters of the football club can also only be unhappy with it and that he also prepared himself for supporters’ criticisms and all. He also thought that they will be just finding faults because of such kind of performance and he must be ready to face every criticism and all. Fans of the English team Manchester United were all saddened the previous weekend upon hearing the result of the game between their favorite team and Chelsea. The result of course was not good for them – Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea.

Carlo Ancelotti team Chelsea was able to reclaim the English Premier League top spot from Manchester United. And this actually made the fans of the Red Devils feel even sorrier.

At the Old Trafford, the fans were unable to see veterans like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes shine, though the latter was able to get a yellow card for the team. They also failed to see Gary Neville step up and make his contribution.

Manchester United failed to fire on all cylinders, and use excellent teamwork to wrong-foot the opponent just like what this team did in the game against Bolton Wanderers recently and even in certain games in the past.

It was really questionable for the fans then, the Red Devils should have played well considering that it has all the reasons to. But this side failed to and it was seriously disturbing.

While Chelsea was indeed so eager to win then, from start to finish this team has showed so much eagerness. Chelsea’s Paul Scholes and Didier Drogba determination to win even made Chelsea 2-0 ten minutes into the second half.

Manchester United can be considered worthy of the top spot in the English Premier League, when actually more than a week ago, the said team beaten 4-0 Bolton Wanderers. However for some, it was not really something to be seriously up to as the Red Devils then was at the top of the English Premier League standings while the Wanderers was close to bottom.

Also, it is worth mentioning here now that Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson actually ordered rest of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick. The said coach seemed confident that his side would make it against Bolton Wanderers though his great men won’t be around. Thus, some just didn’t take the victory of the Red Devils over the Wanderers seriously.

According to news reports, Sir Ferguson decided to give the three rest, or break, so they’d be good enough for the English team’s much awaited UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich in Munich on Tuesday. After winning against Hull City, Manchester United just swiftly rocketed to the top of the English Premier League. The team now owns the top spot in one of the biggest football leagues with 50 points.

The whole team must be thankful to their striker Wayne Rooney who not only scored once but actually four times which was really significant then in obtaining the top spot in such one popular football league. Indeed, the striker has always been good in the field.

Arsenal and Chelsea have also been trying hard to get the spot that Manchester United now owns. But then, the Red Devils did well in their last game, thus securing it with 50 points, and 2 points clear of the two teams, Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, Manchester United actually had a tough time with regards to their standings. Just recently, they lost to Manchester City, their arch rivals. Not to mention that rumors about Old Trafford going under the hammer have been just around the corner.
