Sports Betting Fans Wondered If Beckham Will Score Against Former Club

David BeckhamDavid Beckham was set to play against his former club Manchester United on February 16. And the sports betting fans wondered if this current AC Milan star player will score against previous club.

Present team of Beckham decided to take on the team of Alex Ferguson at the San Siro in the opening leg of the Champions League first-round knockout stage.

“We think Beckham is unlikely to start the game but almost certain to play some part as substitute with the most likely period being from the 71st to 80th minute,” said spokesman of William Hill, Graham Sharpe.

William Hill offered odds of 5/2 for the erstwhile England captain to goal against Manchester United in either leg. And offered odds of 10/3 to score at anytime in the evening game and at the same time offered odds of 6/1 to get a score from a direct free kick still in the evening game.

Ferguson’s men, on the other hand, were offered at odds of 6/4 to win the said game and then were offered at odds of 8/15 to advance to the next stage. While Leonardo’s men were offered at odds of 13/8 to get a home victory and were offered at odds of 11/8 to end up in a tie.

Just an information, in 1999, Beckham lifted the Champions League with Manchester United. And considering this, it may be not that easy for him to score against his previous club. He was actually with the club against some trials. But then, he has been in the fields for a long time and has become a professional player. He will continue to be one and so would play professionally in all of his games. Most likely, he knew that he should always play accordingly, play for the team he is currently playing for.
