Ryder Cup Odds Revealed

The Ryder Cup is considered as one huge golf competition that plain golf enthusiasts and golf betting enthusiasts will not miss. It is a golf competition between teams from Europe and United States. However, it is only staged every two years.

The next Ryder Cup is set to take place at the Celtic Manor Golf Course in Wales this October 1 to 3. The European team will be headed by Scot, Colin Montgomerie and the US team by former US Open Champion, Corey Pavin.

The players who will be making up the teams are now revealed. But with their names now revealed comes the issues particularly the ones on the inclusion in the US team of world number one, Tiger Woods. Woods is now believed to be one of the US Captain’s four wild card picks just along with Stewart Cink, Ricky Fowler and Zach Johnson. But the player’s inclusion still did not change the minds of bookmakers. For the bookmakers, still the European team must be the odds on favorite in the Ryder Cup betting.

With Paddy Power, Europe team is still at 4/6 to win the Harry Vardon Trophy while USA team at 6/4. A tie is at 11/1.

The USA team though not the favorite for this year’s Ryder Cup, will actually be with some players in great form. The team will have Steve Stricker who this year won two times on tour and has three top ten finishes in last five matches. While Phil Mickelson also has won his much-awaited third US masters crown this season. And Jim Furyk, so far for this year 2010 has also won two times. USA team can also simply make it in this year’s Ryder Cup with all of its players who seem to be in a really good form.
