Rooney’s Odds Slashed Following Recent Accomplishments

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is just doing so good considering his contribution to his team’s Carling Cup semi final victory last January 27. He had a significant part in the success of the Red Devils.

Manchester United actually beaten their local rivals, Manchester City, in one of the most awaited Manchester derby games in several years. And Rooney, naturally showed what he has got by scoring his 21st goal of the season in injury time at Old Trafford. At this point, Sky Bet offers Rooney at odds of 7/4 to be named as PFA Players’ Player of the Year. The sports betting firm actually slashed the striker’s odds from 5/2 to 7/4.

Rooney is also into the betting on the FIFA World Player of the Year award. He is currently at odds of 10/1 to be voted as FIFA World Player of the Year.

While the Red Devils are now favorites to win the Carling Cup final against Aston Villa. They are at odds of 2/5 to win next month’s big event.

It really seems that because Rooney is doing good, therefore Manchester United is also doing good. Well, Rooney is one of the key players of the team and if he does excel in performance and so as the team.
