Rooney’s Odds According to Online Bookmakers
Online bookmakers revealed certain odds of the Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. First, odds for him to bag home the PFA Player’s Player of the Year title were revealed, and then followed by the odds for him to have the biggest tally this season for scoring 24 goals or more.
Manchester United defeated Hull City more than a week ago and the striker was indeed one of the key players then. He scored his side’s first goal and set up the following two goals. Thus, it is not surprising to know why online bookmakers listed him at significant odds with regards to the said title and the tally this season. He is actually listed by such bookmakers at 5/2 to win the 2009/10 PFA Players’ Player of the Year and at 5/6 to have the biggest tally this season for scoring 24 goals or more in the Premier League.
“At the halfway stage, 13 goals is an excellent return. He is taking penalties and the only way he is going to fail to get into the twenties is by picking up an injury”, Sky Bet’s football betting expert Stewart Beesly said.
And the expert actually added that the striker is in the right shape to have a really good tally this season, most likely the biggest tally.
But of course, there might be some things that might come along the way and might hinder Rooney from winning the prestigious title and from having the biggest tally this season. Things can happen in an instant. Therefore, may be it is just right for us to expect the unexpected.
At this point, Manchester United are two points behind Chelsea in the English Premier League and are cut to 9/4 from 5/2 to win the significant title for the fourth consecutive time.
