O’Sullivan Turns Favorite for the Masters Snooker Title
The odds just said it all, Ronnie O’Sullivan eventually becomes the favorite for the Masters Snooker title. The betting gives the favor to him after making it through to the quarter finals with a significant 6-4 win in a great match over Australian Neil Robertson.
His success in the match actually earned him the recognition as the favorite at odds of 6/4 with Victor Chandler to win the title for the fifth time. It actually gave him another success. But of course, it is like something that he has not yet enjoyed.
While the next best in the betting for the said title is the reigning World Champion John Higgins. This champion player is now at odds of 11/2 with Ladbrokes.
Higgins is still to qualify for the last eight and be against rising star named Mark Allen who is 2/5 favourite to win with Paddy Power.
Last year, O’Sullivan had a very exciting final over Mark Selby who made it in the 2008 Masters. At Wembley, Selby always seems to have a style and for this week is most likely be good at 6/1 with Totesport to get another win.
O’Sullivan is expected to try his luck with former World Champion Peter Ebdon. This former champion also has a good record. But the “Rocket” is at odds of 1/5 to beat Ebdon.
Masters Snooker title belongs to the list of the most chased titles in the world of sports. Thus, winning it is really an achievement.
O’Sullivan might really win the Masters Snooker title for the fifth time. But then next best in the betting also have good chances on the title. The battle for the Masters Snooker title will surely be a thrilling one. It will be a battle of the best of snooker.
