Odds Say Andy Murray Can Be Successful at Major Tennis Event

Odds can actually say a lot of things, like these odds of certain bookmaker that first, seem to say that the World No. 5, Andy Murray, can make it at a major tennis event just like the Australian Open. And they say as well that though he has a tough draw in Melbourne, he seems confident to give it all at the first of the four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments.

At the US Open in 2008, Murray went all the way to the final but unfortunately lost to the World No. 1, Roger Federer. However, he was still a winner for many who have seen him play. He delivered a really good performance then.

The Scot will most likely try to chase for something similar at the Australian Open. But then last year, at the Grand Slam event, he was only able to make a fourth round appearance when he fell behind Fernando Verdasco.

For the Australian Open, Murray is already one of the favorites with odds of 4/1 with Boylesports. However, at this point, the odds seem a bit skinny considering the potential clashes with the likes of Nadal and Del Potro before him.

However, the World No. 5 is capable of beating the players mentioned with him being in good form. He will have good chances of succeeding if he will just work on himself even more.

But naturally, Federer is still the player to beat. Now he is in the other half of the draw to Murray.

Odds may speak about the truth, and these odds by Boylesports may speak really about who will dominate this year’s Australian Open. Murray has actually good chances of making it at the big event but of course there are still some other things that may hinder him from doing so. For now, let us just wait and see if he will really make it.
