Odds on Benitez’s Departure Revealed

The popular sports betting firm William Hill has actually revealed the odds on Rafa Benitez’s departure just after the England-based team Liverpool was eliminated from the Europa League Thursday. Naturally, William Hill has opened a book on the departure of the well-known manager.

And the odds were 4/6 for the manager to leave Anfield before the next campaign begins. And there were also odds of 11/10 for Benitez to actually remain.

“Rafa’s Liverpool world has been crumbling slowly about him all season and he is now left clutching at straws with Liverpool 16/1 to finish 4th and qualify for the Champions League,” William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said.

Bettors might also want to bet on who will replace Benitez if ever. They might want to actually go for Jose Mourinho and Kenny Dalglish however there is still no book for who will actually be the next after Benitez and even odds.

But of course for now, it is not yet clear to us if Benitez will actually depart from the team. Yes, the release of the odds may be due to the elimination of the team from Europa League indeed by Atletico Madrid on the away goals rule and it may also make Benitez decide to leave the team. But then we don’t exactly know if it will.
