Northern Trust Open Golf Odds Pointed to Mickelson Win

The Northern Trust Open Golf odds were known and just pointed to a Phil Mickelson victory. The World No. 2 was actually considered favorite to win the much-awaited golf event at the Riviera Club in California.

The famous golfer actually won the Northern Trust Open Golf for the last two seasons and it is worth mentioning that in 2007 got the second placing. The left hander then was at around 6/1 mark to success however with Ladbrokes was indeed at 7/1 for the hat trick.

While the odds also indicated chance on the big event for the likes of Steve Stricker, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, and Jim Furyk. The World No. 3 Steve Stricker who has two top ten finishes for this year was set at odds of 14/1. While the former World No. 1 Ernie Els who finished his first two tournaments this year with great recognition at 25/1. And three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington who seems the best bet for a European victory was actually set at same odds of 25/1. Chevron World Challenge winner and World No. 5 Jim Furyk was also at odds of 25/1.

No doubt, everyone has the chance on the Northern Trust Open Golf. But it was Mickelson who has been much associated with the golf event who turned out to be the favorite to win it.

Well, the World No. 2 has the edge, he knew long before how to actually make it at such one huge event. But then, it has been for anyone to dominate and not just for one player in particular. Others will always have the chance most especially the great golfers like Stricker, Els, Harrington, and Furyk who have accomplished a lot too and have proven what they have got. It was just all a matter of chances.
