Neymar a Target for Ancelotti
Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck recently admitted that Santos star Neymar is truly a target for Carlo Ancelotti. But despite of the player being a target for the coach, he said that the English football club did not approach the player illegally for a possible transfer.
Buck clarified that they did not approach Neymar illegally for a possible transfer. It was said recently that Buck and agent Pini Zahavi met with the Santos star and his representative in New York to talk about a possible move to Stamford Bridge this summer. And in addition it was said that Santos only rejected the £20 million that Chelsea offered then for the 18-year-old forward who has £29 million release clause.
Buck insisted that although Neymar is truly a target for Carlo Ancelotti, still Chelsea can’t do something so bad like approaching the player illegally just for a possible transfer.
Buck said: “There was no tapping up from Chelsea and I want to be clear on that. We are looking at several young Brazilian players and he is one of the players we have been looking at. Whether he becomes a Chelsea player at some point, who knows? We are still looking at some things, whether they happen or not I don’t know.”
Buck also clarified that they will be glad to have another player or maybe two but if not there will be no problem. He said that Ancelotti is fine with the current Chelsea squad.
Buck said in addition: “Carlo is happy and confident with the squad we have. If there is another player or two – great, if not we’re fine with what we have.”
Hopefully, the two clubs will still be good to each other after everything that was said. We hope that they did not take everything seriously. They belong to one world, the world of football.
