Murray as the Favorite for ATP Dubai

Andy MurrayFor ATP Dubai, specifically for this week, Andy Murray has been the man to consider. Boylesports actually made him 19/10 favorite to win in ATP Dubai this week. The decision of the sports betting firm happened just actually after it was confirmed that neither Roger Federer nor Rafael Nadal will be in the field this week. Only the World #2 Novak Djokovic will be gracing the field this week and this indeed to defend his ATP Dubai title.

Federer suffered from a chest infection and Nadal picked up an injury. But according to reports, the latter is now recovering.

The absence of the two this week has most likely persuaded Boylesports to make Murray the favorite for ATP Dubai for this week and surprisingly, make the current holder of ATP Dubai title only the third best in the betting.

But Murray actually lost to Federer in the Australian Open Final and now is still trying to be better after such defeat. However, he can just get better of course and give justice to the odds given to him by Boylesports.

The first round opponent of Murray was decided to be Igor Kunitsin, a Russian qualifier. And if he makes it against Kunitsin, it was decided that he will play against Andreas Seppi or Serb Janko Tipsarevic. Both Seppi and Tipsarevic have been known as players hard to beat.

If Murray performs well in the first and second game rounds, it was decided that he will come up against Marin Cilic for the quarter finals. Cilic knocked out Murray in the 2009 US Open however was also beaten by Britain’s pride in a huge Australian event.

Boylesports might just have faith on Murray and his potential and so this sports betting firm made Murray 19/10 favorite to win in ATP Dubai this week. But let us just find out if the firm has made the right decision in regards to the popular player.
