More Bank Accounts Used For Online Gambling Payment Transactions Seized by the US Government

A7TW53 The US government seems really serious with pursuit to attack online gambling and now has seized more bank accounts that are used for online gambling payment transactions. According to the news by the Baltimore City Paper, $365,000 in two accounts owned by Atrium Financial Group was seized by the government body.

The recent seizure of bank accounts by the US government can be deemed different from the other series of seizures as it was not sealed from the view of the public. There was an affidavit and it showed the willful intent of the federal government to actually stop the payment transactions by the Internet casinos to the US residents. These residents have something to receive from the said casinos.

The affidavit was sworn out by the official from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The warrant was issued by Beth Gesner, US District Judge.

The statement that was actually released implied that the bank accounts concerned are being tracked down by undercover officers asking for payouts from online gambling sites. With regards to the Atrium case, it was actually an officer from the Louisiana State Police who asked payouts. He opened a a gambling account with an online casino known as Golden Casino.

After these two bank accounts, most likely, there will be more bank accounts to be seized by the US government. Well, no one can just blame the government body for its pursuit to attack online gambling, for actually seizing bank accounts used for online gambling payment transactions. The government body wants to control online gambling in own area of responsibility and perhaps the only way of doing so, that is proven effective as of now, is by doing seizures of bank accounts and all. It is not that good that there are residents who are greatly affected but then they are also believed accountable for the growth of online gambling in the US.
