Manchester City’s Premier League Odds Slashed

Manchester City seemed so good in game against Liverpool last August 23. Roberto Mancini’s club actually ended up winning the game, beating Roy Hodgson’s club 3-0. And because of such accomplishment, bookmakers slashed the club’s odds for winning the Premier League.

Mancini must be thankful to early strike from Gareth Barry as well as to brace from Carlos Tevez. They made it possible for Manchester City to win 3-0 against Liverpool.

After the victory of Manchester City, William Hill actually made the club 13/2 fourth-favorite to win the Premier League. However, the club Arsenal was still with odds of 11/2 and Manchester United still with 5/2. Also to mention, Chelsea was still with 5/4.

Spokesman Graham Sharpe admitted that they were impressed with how Manchester City handled the game against Liverpool and if the club will continue to handle games the same way they believed that the club will be a good contender for the Premier League title.

Sharpe said: “City’s display [last night] suggests they will be serious title contenders and that United will be hard-pressed to finish above them this season.”

Well, one of the well-known clubs in the Premier League is Mancini’s club. And it has what it takes to be popular. And it will go a long way most especially now that it just showed what it is capable of doing in a game. With its very good performance recently in the game against Liverpool, it can simply win this season’s Premier League.

Fans can simply back Manchester City for the Premier League title. But of course, the new season of the Premier League has just started and many things can still happen that may affect the current form of the club. However we are only hoping for the best for the club. Everyone in the club has been just so eager to improve and be better.
