Man City Defeated Chelsea at Weekend Game

Yes, at weekend game, Man City defeated Chelsea thus proving to each of us that even leaders can really be outwitted, be beaten. A lot of football and betting enthusiasts were surprised then how the less expected team to win managed to overcome leading team in English Premier League. But everything is really possible to happen.

According to some experts of the sport, may be it was because Man City was playing in front of their own crowd or may be because some key players of Chelsea seemed tired, that is why they have won against the leaders. They were able to get a significant victory from the Londoners for a reason.

For those who have watched the weekend game between Man City and Chelsea, goalkeeper Shay Given from the Man City was the star as he managed to save a penalty from Frank Lampard, Chelsea midfielder. It is also worth mentioning that the team managed to beat Adebayor own goal and 0-1 deficit.

But it was unexpected then that the striker was able to tie the scores just before half-time when he made his way after his teammate Shaun Wright-Phillips missed the chance to send one flying into the back of the net of Chelsea. And Carlos Teves, Man City’s striker, made it 2-1 with an amazing 20-yard free kick.

Given was able to save a goal from Lampard, and after the score remained in the favor of Man City until the last and final whistle. The victory ended an odd seven-draw streak for Man City and so the fans of the team were so delighted then.

No one can really tell what’s going to happen. Like Man City that’s lying sixth in this season of English Premier League, no one might have thought that they will win against a team like Chelsea. But no one can indeed.
