Khan the Favorite to Beat Hatton
The well-known sports betting firm William Hill has made Amir Khan the favorite to beat Ricky Hatton if ever the two battle in the boxing ring this 2010. Most likely, the firm was amazed with how the 23-year-old boxer performed in the event with Paulie Malignaggi recently. Thus, William Hill has made Khan the favorite to beat Hatton at odds of 4/7.
After the event with Malignaggi, William Hill has also given the boxer odds of 25/1 for the 2010 BBC Sports Personality of The Year. For the sports betting firm, the boxer has the potential to win the 2010 BBC Sports Personality of The Year. While Hatton was given odds 66/1 for the said title.
The British boxer actually beaten American boxer Malignaggi at Madison Square Garden Theatre. And the boxer was able to keep the WBA light-welterweight title.
Trainer Freddie Roach was interviewed and indeed said, “It was a great performance.” The trainer seemed really happy with the performance of the boxer.
Khan personally wanted to have one more fight before August when the Ramadan would start. But so far, Argentinean Marcos Maidana has been the one much associated with a fight with Khan.
Khan singled out Maidana to be the next opponent of choice. It is possible that the two could battle in case Maidana gets better in July.
Well, we don’t know who Khan will really meet in the boxing ring after Malignaggi. And we just don’t know if Hatton can really make it to a fight with Khan.
Thus, what we should do now is to just wait for the next happening. Let us see what’s going to happen next. Let us see if who will step into to the boxing ring to meet Khan. For now, the odds are for bettors to just enjoy.
