Gambling and Betting Events in the State of Delaware
Recently in Delaware, legislatures have given the formal and explicit approval for many various types of gambling games to be played. The State of Delaware has also sanctioned the approval given to them by the legislatures and are working along with it now. It is also seen that Delaware is soon to become the largest gambling state lying on the East Coast because of its expanding slot gambling, sports betting and the new table casino games available.
Jack Markell, Governor; Delaware, desired sports betting but was not aware to what extent it would be provided to him. However from now on, the state shall allow all gamblers to bet on single games, which were not even in the genuine proposal. Markell had proposed extended gambling hoping there would be an increase of revenues to around $55 million.
Markell had given ideas to the legislatures for parlay bets in which any gambler would have to bet on 2 or more games with the same ticket. All games which were bet on had to win to be a winner. Delaware appears to be intentional on providing much better choices to the players.
The Chief Executive Officer and President, Ed Sutor, of the fabulous Dover Downs Hotel & Casino stated that they are not getting the same amount of commercial activity from the Atlantic City currently. He also stated that the introduction of sports betting would attract more new players towards the game. As it is a new game, many people from Philadelphia right through to New York would visit Delaware just to try the game.
Three of the most popular gambling casinos in Delaware would be Delaware Park, Dover Downs and the Harrington Raceway with history in gambling. Jack Markell had also opted towards having 3 more casinos formed, but is now waiting on a study report which is due by this October.
Delaware has now become a strong threat to the East Coast; Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut, for taking their business away as it has far better growing casino gambling options, the same way as the East Coast became an existing threat for Atlantic City, stealing all their business. Pete Schwartzkopf, House Majority Leader, also accepts the fact that the betting of sports would present the state an amazing turn around to the gambling world, but would be far better if innovative ventures such as the Delpointe Resort located in Millsboro would be signed for.
Delaware never stopped its sports betting and by next April all kinds of table games, including baccarat and blackjack, will be available at the state racing track! Expanding the gambling arena, video slot gambling shall also be an amazing offer for all. A complete range of gambling games available would be more than enough for a state like Delaware to become the upcoming capital throughout the East Coast!
