France’s New Regulations For Online Casinos Like Betfair To Cause Chaos

A lot of betting enthusiasts now believe that France’s new regulations for online casinos like Betfair will cause chaos. The said regulations seem to effectively force Betfair along with other similar betting exchanges out of the country’s betting industry. They require the said exchanges to be licensed by the state and be required to pay a percentage to sports, and truthfully not permit players to lay bets as well as put them on the line.
The formulation of the “last-minute addition” to France regulations, is believed to be also because of Betfair’s unlikely system of allowing patrons to bet against each other. Betfair is considered as one of the largest sports betting exchanges or services in the world and now they might be truly out of the country’s betting industry.
But on the flip side, Betfair officials broke their silence and said the regulations seem to discriminates and may just start a complaint with the EU. Rules of the EU say that discrimination against competition can be made up legally, if ever there is involvement of public safety.
But more than the said system of allowing patrons to bet against each other, it is believed by many that France may have considered more the UK study which says that online gambling is more addictive than land-based gambling. However, it was conducted by one of the members of a long standing anti-gambling group.
It is expected that this happening between France and Betfair along with other similar betting exchanges will get even more serious. But then, both the country and her legislators and Betfair along with other similar betting exchanges will just find own way to fight for own pursuit. What’s going to take place next after this happening, it is just for people to find out soon.
