Football World Cup Odds at 10/1

World Cup 2010Time flies so fast, thus it is not something unusual to hear about odds being set in regards to a competition that is still to happen in months time. Like the Football World Cup odds set by the bookmaker William Hill. The said competition is still about to happen this Summer in South Africa.

The bookmaker believes that the likes of Fernando Torres, David Villa and Cristiano Ronaldo should be at odds of 10/1 to take the golden boot for the Football World Cup.

While, to score the goals is Wayne Rooney, England’s most fancied. The odds are at 16/1.

Graham Sharpe, spokesman of William Hill is in full attention to the market opened by the competition as according to him, “this looks to be an extremely competitive market with any number of genuine contenders, but there is little doubt that many punters will be backing their favourite Premiership player so we expect to take plenty for the likes of Torres, Rooney, Drogba and Van Persie”.

Meanwhile, to win the trophy, winners of European Championship are the most notable with Spain and Brazil being considered as joint favorites at odds of 9/2.

Other participants like England are at 6/1 and Honduras, North Korea, Algeria and New Zealand are at 500/1 being outsiders.

Last December 4, the draw for the competition took place.

The Football World Cup will happen and all bettors who have placed bets through some bookmakers will surely experience adrenalin rush. Will anyone from the three competitive players win the boot? And will it be really Spain and Brazil that will strongly battle all for the trophy? And will the outsiders be really England and the likes? Let us all wait for several months and see what the competition has in store for everyone.
