English Premier League Weekend Game Results a Surprise
Yes, the English Premier League weekend game results seemed a surprise to many football fans. The results actually showed that there were three English Premier League clubs that thrashed their opponents 6-0. Teams included Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle. The poor teams beaten 6-0 included Blackpool, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa.
Many football fans were not happy with the three teams being beaten so badly as once again they have come to figure out that there have been actually bigger, greater funded teams and smaller, underfunded teams in the premier football competition and that the smaller, underfunded teams will often be the underdogs in games. But of course, they still have potential to win.
In the game between Arsenal and Blackpool, it was The Gunners that really stood out. Arsène Wenger’s club took advantage of the lack of experience of the Premier League newbies Blackpool. Arsenal thrashed Blackpool 6-0.
Blackpool had few opportunities to score but then failed to make the most out of them. The club didn’t have the experience and it really showed it didn’t.
Chelsea also trashed Wigan Athletic 6-0. Chelsea did not allow Wigan Athletic to have any goal.
And Newcastle thrashed Aston Villa 6-0. Many football fans can’t actually believe how Newcastle managed to beat sixth placer of the English Premier League last season. It was understandable that Blackpool only came to the premier football competition just recently and the club lacked experience and that Wigan Athletic though also good can be simply beaten by Chelsea. Many football fans failed to believe that Aston Villa was beaten by Newcastle that was still playing in the First Division the previous season. However, the club was recently reported really struggling due to the unexpected resignation of Martin O’Neill. The resignation of O’Neill might have badly affected the club.
