Chelsea Reclaimed English Premier League Top Spot From Manchester United

Fans of the English team Manchester United were all saddened the previous weekend upon hearing the result of the game between their favorite team and Chelsea. The result of course was not good for them – Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea.

Carlo Ancelotti team Chelsea was able to reclaim the English Premier League top spot from Manchester United. And this actually made the fans of the Red Devils feel even sorrier.

At the Old Trafford, the fans were unable to see veterans like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes shine, though the latter was able to get a yellow card for the team. They also failed to see Gary Neville step up and make his contribution.

Manchester United failed to fire on all cylinders, and use excellent teamwork to wrong-foot the opponent just like what this team did in the game against Bolton Wanderers recently and even in certain games in the past.

It was really questionable for the fans then, the Red Devils should have played well considering that it has all the reasons to. But this side failed to and it was seriously disturbing.

While Chelsea was indeed so eager to win then, from start to finish this team has showed so much eagerness. Chelsea’s Paul Scholes and Didier Drogba determination to win even made Chelsea 2-0 ten minutes into the second half.

Manchester United’s Federico Macheda was only able to put the Red Devils on the board and so at the final whistle result turned out to be – Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea.

Now, Chelsea possesses the English Premier League top spot with 74 points. This Carlo Ancelotti team is at the top spot of the much talked about league standings. But Manchester United is next after it, naturally in the said standings with 72 points, and then Arsenal with 71 points.
