Certain Teams Stood Out in the English Premier League Weekend Games

English Premier LeagueSome teams just stood out and dominated in their own way the English Premier League weekend games. These include the frontrunners Chelsea and Manchester United, and of course Stoke City.

The games were full of action, with Chelsea that was then against Arsenal, Manchester United against Portsmouth, and Stoke City against Blackburn Rovers.

Wenger’s men might have worked so hard to win, but then the weekend game victory went to Chelsea, which by now is the best team in the league. While the bottom-of-the-leaguers Portsmouth might have also done the same thing hoping then to make it through the top, however the win was grabbed from this team by the more eager Manchester United. And Blackburn Rovers that absolutely showed exemplary performance was still beaten by the like of Stoke City.

The three teams did a good job the previous weekend. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Stoke City succeeded. But Arsenal, Portsmouth, and Blackburn Rovers must be given special recognition too for trying to win. Blackburn Rovers most especially that might have given it all considering the team’s close fight in the English Premier League this season with Stoke City.

However something happened to a 30-year-old Rovers fan that in a way spoiled things. The fan suffered from a head injury at half-time and too bad died in the hospital.

Too unfortunate that the fan died but most likely it must happen. There must be a reason naturally. But somehow it didn’t change that the three teams indeed gave a great performance, they stood out and in their own way dominated the English Premier League games.

The results of English Premier League weekend games:

Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Manchester United 5-0 Portsmouth
Stoke City 3-0 Blackburn

The results show Chelsea, Manchester United, and Stoke City were just good enough the last weekend.
