Casey Not the Favorite But Can Simply Win Verizon Heritage Golf Championship
We just reviewed the odds recently set by several bookmakers for the winner of the much-awaited golf event, the Verizon Heritage Golf Championship, and we actually found out that Jim Furyk made it to indeed make everyone agree on his being the winner of such event.
Ladbrokes, specifically, set odds of 14/1 for Furyk to actually win at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. It was quite amazing to know as the World #6 indeed missed the cut last week in the Masters and then missed the cut in the Verizon Heritage Golf Championship last year. But perhaps, the thing for Ladbrokes and the others was that Furyk won the Transitions Open weeks ago and this week showed to be in good form.
After Furyk, we actually found out that it’s Ian Poulter who played so well last week at Augusta that for bookmakers actually the next in line to make it. Ian Poulter was set at odds of 25/1 by one popular bookmaker. And he can just make it at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina this week.
But Paul Casey will also compete for the 2010 Verizon Heritage Golf Championship title. According to news reports, the World #7 has been preparing a lot for a week to be on top of his game again after missing the cut at Augusta last week. And so far for this season, has already recorded five top ten finishes out of eight tournament starts. Though not the favorite, Casey is likely to simply win Verizon Heritage Golf Championship this week. With his accomplishments, he is likely to be back in the action scene by winning such great event.
Most likely, the odds of bookmakers seem not much of a problem for Casey. Such odds might just be like a challenge for him that he must overcome simply.
But of course, others also have the capability to win Heritage Golf Championship.
