Bruce Satisfied With Sunderland’s 4-0 Game

Reports revealed that Steve Bruce was satisfied with the 4-0 game of Sunderland against Stoke City. It was a match that proved his football club can also do well in this season. For the manager, it was really important to also show to all critics that his football club can also deliver and with good chances of also making it big in this season. And he was happy with Sunderland also being able to make the 4-0 game happen.

Bruce said: “It was great to get off to a really good start. It is especially important in the Premier League and it makes our job slightly easier. With the clamour and everything else that has been going on up here for the last few weeks, it is ridiculous. We haven’t done that badly – we lost a derby game and all of a sudden a mass hysteria broke out. We did okay at Liverpool (1-1) and we did okay at Swansea (0-0). Certainly over the last two or three weeks certain newspapers have been mind blowing really when you consider that we have played only five games (in the league).”

And according to the reports, Tony Pulis was also dissatisfied with the 4-0 game that took place. But he cannot also use any match as the reason for the said loss just for him to also feel better somehow. For the manager, it will only be absurd for him to do so.

Pulis said: “No, not at all (was Europa match cause for the loss). I think that we have to put everything into perspective. Now if you look at what happened in South Wales where four people lost their lives working underground … They earn not as much in a year as my players earn in a week. So using travelling as an excuse for today’s defeat is ridiculous.”
