Blatter Making Clarifications on Racism Comments

Sepp Blatter admitted that he was affected by the comments of footballers, managers and even members of football associations on his own comments on racism. However, the official of International Federation of Association Football or FIFA wished to stop thinking of the comments including his own comments. He wanted to forget about them.

Blatter said also as confirmed by the reports: “I can only say this item for me is closed. There is no tolerance (of) racism. I have been interpreted as such and I have made my apologies. I cannot say anything more. There is no discrimination in my feelings, there is no racism, nothing at all. This matter for me is over. We go forward.”

Blatter learned that there were comments that were given even on the controversies also involving him and his administration. However, the official of FIFA insisted that he also realized that there were some mistakes done related to the controversies and it was important that there was a realization, also as revealed by the reports. He wished to also stop thinking of them. He wanted to forget about them. He wished to just be in good state of mind and be able to do the things that would be good for the organization. His supporters would be there to also help him make it. They would give him the support that he would need to succeed. He would just really try to also for all of them.

Blatter, in addition, said: “There is zero tolerance (for) racism, zero tolerance (for) discrimination in all activities in the field of play and outside the field. (I was) very much hurt by these comments because it touched me in my conscience and my determination to go against racism. Look at it this way. Anyone who works a lot makes mistakes from time to time.”
