Betting on England’s Leader for 2010 World Cup Continues

FIFA World CupIt continues, the betting on who will lead England in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup goes on with John Terry and Wayne Rooney as the popular bets.

Sports betting firms have been releasing odds for the said betting market. And they have been considering the rumors regarding the future of Terry as captain that actually have been just around the corner.

But the Football Association clarified that the answer as to whether Terry will become the captain or not will indeed come from the Italian manager. It is for the manager to say if Terry will take the significant role or not. Italian boss Fabio Capello just came back in UK. He might soon give his piece regarding his man’s future.

Currently, to lead England against USA, Terry is listed at odds of 4/7. And to keep the armband in a game against Egypt, he is listed at odds of
8/13, but to lose it listed at odds of 6/5.

On the other hand, the pride of Manchester United, Wayne Rooney has seen another change on the opinion of some regarding his captaincy as he seen his odds slashed. For William Hill, it was because of punters being so supportive of the popular in-form striker.

Graham Sharpe of William Hill said, “With punters betting up to £250 a time on Rooney taking over the armband we’ve had to cut his odds significantly again.”

Will it be Terry from Chelsea who will lead England in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup? Or will it be Rooney from Manchester United who will? Soon it may be revealed before us as the big event is fast approaching. It needs to be revealed soon who will be guide England to success in South Africa for something as big as the 2010 World Cup.
