Assistant Director of Scouting Accused For Gambling on Sports

It is true that an assistant director of scouting is now being accused for gambling on sports. It is Jack Mai, previously belonged to the Sacramento Kings.

According to the news, the NBA told the clubs that Mai did bet on NBA games and was banned permanently from actually working in any means with a member team. But also implied that, Sacramento Kings’ former assistant director of scouting placed bets of small amounts and only between him and his friends which might have not influenced or whatsoever the manipulation games.

According to some league sources, Mai even placed bets on games of the Kings and there were times for them to actually lose. And additionally, he had been betting on Kings games and other sports for some years.

The Kings released a statement and expresses the team’s standing regarding the issue about Mai. “We take this matter very seriously, and we fully cooperated with the NBA’s investigation”, the Kings explained in the statement.

The Maloof family owns the Kings and popular as well as owners of the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Mai was previously King’s assistant director of scouting. However, he was released by the team this year in the spring season. Many reasons were brought into the table regarding his release but then the most notable was his alleged inappropriate equipment deals with Asian basketball teams and associations.

News like this is more on being a bad one considering there might be a very good relationship that was destroyed. Mai might have done some things that might be good for the Kings then, and so he might have become an important part of the team too. But things happen for a reason. Everything in this world just passes by. Issues, controversies and the likes will surely just pass by. All will still end well.
