Adolescent Gambling Should Not Be Tolerated According to a Study

Adolescent Gambling A study now shows that adolescent gambling should not be tolerated, not by any means. Some teenagers who currently have conduct problems are also likely to have issues on gambling at the same time. The said study was done by the Research Institute on Addictions at the University of Buffalo, which is actually a research institute that is mainly into discovering everything related to different kinds of addictions.

It is believed that around ten percent of teenage boys show some signs related to conduct disorder. And this group of teenage boys unfortunately ended up getting a 23 percent rate of problem gambling symptoms.

The teenage boys belonged to the 14-15 age group, in which problem gambling symptoms probability increased 80 percent with every recorded case of conduct disorder. The symptoms they have been trying to show actually include stealing, aggression, lying, stealing, and substance abuse.

The study was made by Dr. John Welte and was published in the Journal of Adolescent Health. But of course, this is in coordination with associates on 2274 adolescents between 14 and 21.

We bet, though without a study like the one by Dr. John Welte at Research Institute on Addictions at the University of Buffalo, many will agree that adolescent gambling shout not be tolerated, not by many means. Gambling can be addicting but can be even more addicting for those who are still in search of their self, those who are still in the adolescent stage. Thus, if possible, it should not be considered an activity that can be for them. It should be considered an activity that can only be for the adult, certainly people who are already in a stage by which they are already sure of their self, of their likes and things of similar type. Gambling should only be for the discerning and all knowing.
